Anyone familiar with the 9100IGP chipset?

Bought a new P4R800-VM (ATI RADEON 9100 IGP) motherboard.
P4 2.8GHz (800MHz FSB)
2 sticks 512mb PC333 DDR SpecTek (tested memory in another PC, works fine).
Enermax 365w dual fan power supply.
WD 100Gb (single) on IDE channel 1
Yamaha CDRW (master) - Zip250 (slave) IDE channel 2.
Mitsumi 1.44 floppy.
(Onboard 9100 Video)
First original BIOS, now updated to latest Beta - same symptoms.

WinXP Pro SP1. Can boot to CD, load XP, setup, and finish loading XP. Then,
on first boot, it hangs at the splash screen. The status animation (line
with blue bars) scrolls thru once, and stops near the second pass, and stays
there. I let it sit once for 20 mins, to see if it would continue.

I can boot to safe mode all the live long day, but there is nothing wrong in
device manager. Only a few yellow question marks, because of video, sound
not having device drivers yet. And of course, in safe mode, it wont run the
Asus device disk.

Anyone have any clues? On how to load XP Pro SP1 from CD, and then get the
Asus 9100IGP motherboard drivers installed?

Try to use safe mode. Hit F8 just after post screen (before that white bar
going from left>right shows up).
