Anti virus and security recommendations

Using WXP with an older version of Norton Anti virus and Zone Alarm fire wall.

Looking for recommendations for a combination package for security and anti virus for 3 - 5 pcs.

I've tried the avg and found it to be a resounce hog.

Kaspersky Internet Security.

Kaspersky or NOD32 - both are excellent and do multi-PC licence packages.

as usual I'm finding myself agreeing with this lot

Kaspersky Antivirus and Comodo Firewall...

Both are 99% detection rates in their respective fields...

Alternatives could be BitDefender and Outpost Firewall...

Kaspersky Internet Suite is more convenient but I feel that having the best of both fields is more important...

I've switched to AntiVir but I've never had that problem with AVG in over 4 years of using it.
