Another Sreensaver Problem

Hello

I was using my screensavers on a 1 min timer to test some of them out. Now
all my screensavers will only work on a 1 min wait time. I've tried entering
diffrent times in the "wait" box but with no luck. They work but only if I
enter 1 min in the "wait" box under properties.

I need help with this problem thanks a bunch!

Barbra, try setting the timer and click Apply, Ok and then restart the
computer.

Thank You Rich Barry. I would like to mark this problem with a check mark but
your answere didn't quite solve the problem.......

This did help the problem some what but it started to happen again after I
decided to test the "wait" time again. I know that you don't have to restart
your computer every time you want to change your screensaver "wait" time.
Before this started to happen I would always change my "wait" time without
restarting computer.

I have a funny feeling this problem came about when I downloaded Magentic
Screensavers by www.incredimail.com. I have since removed the program in the
add/remove programs. Problem still persist.

Could there be hidden files regarding Magentic .... and how would I find
them and delete them.....

Or can I try something else......

Sounds like time to get the malware removers out.

"Adaware SE" and "SpyBot S&D" should cover it. Just google for them.

This screensaver problem is getting weird. I bought my spyware removal
(Spysweeper) removed all my screensavers that I installed myself. Ran my
Spysweeper cleaned all that up. Deleted screensavers from my norton
protected files. Now I'm left with just the screensavers that came with
windows. I pick a screensaver to use and lets say I put 45mins in the wait
box it works but then I want to change the wait time but it won't work
anymore unless I put in just 1min again. If I pick a screensaver that I had
not use before it will work with any wait time I put in, but once I change
that wait time it will only work on a 1min time. What's up with that.....

I also have had my computer scaned for viruses by Norton nothing came up.
I aslo went into search typed in screensaver and removed files related to
the screensavers I installed.

I tried to type .scr in the run box but got a message nothing found make
sure you have typed the name in write something like that.

I'm very boggled and fustrated about this. There must be a solution out
there to help fix this problem. I'm not going to give up! So once again I
want inlist the generousity of all you smart tech people out there to help me
try and solve this annoying mystery problem. Very Very much appreciated and
thank you thank you!
