screensaver help please

I have been having problems with my screensavers only working on a 1 or 2 min
wait time only. I was watching my screen and I noticed that my mouse would
blink with that little hour glass every 2 mins and I was thinking that this
could be why I can't get my screensavers to go off at a longer "wait time".
Is this normal for your mouse (if it is the mouse) to do this..... and or
what would be causing this and how would I fix it.

it may be you have some kind of program that runs every 2-3 minutes and this
is waking up your mouse.
check task manager for programs and see if programs that are running are
what you expect.
also check task scheduler, I can't imagine what task you would have
scheduled for every two- three minutes, but check there just in case, have
you anti-virus software, do you have a firewall enabled, do you have
anything for cleaning spyware/malware.
