Hello all.

I have yet another problem with the bloody machine.

It will not boot, it will not beep and not even the keyboard lights come on.

THe fans start, the Power LED comes on, the RAM LED (on mobo) comes on.

Apart from that; NOTHING.

Things it is not:

Power Supply
Graphics Card

No sign of damage on the motherboard.

How can i test the CPU? i want to see if it is getting hot (that meens it has power) but i dont want to start without the heatsink

What can it be / how can i find out?

Hmm... I think it sounds like the motherboard from what you have said. A hot CPU means nothing, but I doubt it is faulty - they are usually pretty black and white with working. The only way to check the CPU is to test it in another motherboard.

Can you swap the motherboard over with anything at all?

there is nothing to swap with. i am going to find someone i know that i could swap CPU's with for a bit, and the RAM. if it makes no differance, it must be the mobo
