Alternative to Guide Plus+?

Is there an alternative to this program?

Whenever i start the program (with my AIW 9700 pro) the mouse cursor
disappears...i know this has been reported before, just getting fed up
with it.

Plus the crossword puzzles *stink*.

you may try to update it. Find the folder where it's installed, and run
EPGUpdate.exe.

This junk, however, is pretty remarkable especially by its Borland database
engine, 5 years old (it says "copyright 1998" in help/about in BDE engine in
comtrol panel). That works about 2 minutes with awful hard drive intensity on
that about 2MB listings' update.

ya, that is an unresolved problem with the AIW but I guess it's a guide plus
error not the driver error.

drives me nuts too.
