alternate jobs from one printer server to another

Hi,

We have two shared printer queue on our 2000 server. Laser1 and Laser2, all
the network users are using them. Right now the laser1 is sent out for
repairing, some of the users don't know and keep sending jobs to laser1. Is
there any way to switch those jobs to laser2?

Simply go in and change the port it's directed to to laser2's port. All
you'll have to do is remember to switch it back when the printer comes back
from repair.

will check out IIRC pooling.

IIRC = if I recall correctly.

just look into printer pooling under ports tab on the printers
properties settings
