All emails going to Junk Email folder

I installed Outlook 2003 on a new notebook with XP. I transferred over
the folders and their emails from my previous PC, but not the Address
contacts or email rules. For one month Junk Email and other folders
worked fine. Now suddenly all my emails are going to Junk Email, even
after I follow the Help guidance on marking a sender as safe, not junk,
etc. I began creating new rules when designating emails as safe, etc.
did not work. Still no luck. I haven't downloaded any of the Outlook
updates because there are so many and I don't know if I have to
download all of them in order not to make things worse. I also went in
and set the filtering option to None, then I tried Low. Still all
emails going to junk. The only change in my work process is that I
uninstalled the free trial Trend Micro antivirus software and installed
Norton Antivirus. It was after this that all the emails started going
to junk.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I've used Outlook 2003 for years and have a love/hate relationship with it.

All this week my incoming emails have been going into Junk Email too! Even
emails from designated safe senders. I haven't made any changes to my system
but an automatic update was downloaded and installed recently. Too much going
on and I don't remember is this problem started right after that so I don't
know if the two are related.

I did a 'detect and repair' on Office but this didn't fix things. Am even
contemplating completely uninstalling Office and then re-installing but
that's a serious pain and I want to avoid doing this if I can.

I have my Junk Email Options set to do NO automatic filtering. I have
checked and re-checked the safe senders, safe recipients, and blocked senders
lists in the options tabs and there seems to be no good reason for the email
to all end up in Junk Email. Seriously frustrating! I teach online and
receive a gazillion student emails daily.

I know I haven't offered any solutions to your problem, but at least we know
we're not the only ones this happening to. Maybe someone else will have
ideas...

I'm sorry to say that I do not have an answer to your problem, but a similar
situation of my own. Recently (within the past few weeks) some of my emails
appear to be sent ok, but are never received at all. No error messages, no
prompts, nothing appear amiss. These emails are for my at-home business to a
designated "safe" address. But intermittently they fail. I keep computer on
auto update so I have no idea at which update this problem started occurring?
I can't seem to find a fix to it either. Just a mess.

Well, I solved my own problem after reading some posts about junk e-mail and
rules. It turns out I am my own worst enemy…I write rules to sort my e-mail
and apparently one that I attempted to write recently misfired on me. Once I
deleted it my regular e-mail goes in the Inbox like it is supposed to. Yea!

So if you have written rules to sort your e-mail you might check them to see
if you have a misbehaving e-mail rule.
Click Tools/Rules and Alerts
Click the E-mail Rules tab if necessary
Click each rule and check the rule description in the lower pane for obvious
errors.
Click the Change Rule button if you need to edit the rule
If you find a bad rule, click the Delete button

Hope this helps
