Ahead Nero Software Installation/XP

Had Nero v5.0 working with XP, but since recent fdisk,
format and reinstall of XP, I cannot get Nero to install.
Error message says older version of XP still exists on
computer. Cannot locate this 'older version' Suggestions?

Check if no files still exist in c:\program files\Ahead Nero
(or whatever folder is called) and in Registry (do a search).
