Adware 'HotBar'

Can anyone tell me how to remove the 'HotBar' adware from
my internet explorer toobar? It's resided in the program
folder but I encounter access denied when trying to
delete it.

The microspft Antispy ware cannot remove it.

Try cwshredder.exe which you can get from

http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe

If it asks you if a file is random tell it NO and write
the file name down and come back and ask me.

Also get HijackThis.exe from

http://www.tomcoyote.com/hjt/HijackThis.exe

SCAN your system, SAVE LOG and send me the log (after
running CWShredder) as an attachment or copy and paste the
text here.

Lavasoft's Ad-aware or SpyBot Search & Destroy will remove
all of Hotbar.

Install (both) as one usually catches what the other doesn't.
After installation, update both applications immediately as they
do not download with the latest updates.

Try to remove it after booting to Safe Mode.

I've had similar problems such as yourself. I would
restart your computer after reading this message then do
not connect to the internet and try to delete the item
from the explorer program file. It should let u access
it and delete it if none of the explorer program is
active. Then again it might not but this process has
worked for me in the past.

Try downloading AD-Ware SE from lavasoft.com
