Administrator Account Locked - Internal Error

I am unable to logon to the Administrator account, unable to access the
administrator user properties, unable to change the administrator password
and in trying to do so I get a "internal error".

Yes I am an administrator on that PC, no it is not a domain PC and yes other
accounts work just fine.

Windows XP Pro, SP1

(I know I posted this a bit ago but went out of town and any replies have
fallen off the server)

The server news://msnews.microisoft.com does not age off the posts.
