Admin password lost

I've lost the admin password for my XP Pro computer.
I can still log on as a user, but without administrative priviledges.
I belive I have to reinstall Windows to fix this problem, is that right?
Then I will get to enter a new admin password?

Do I have to do a clean install, OR will just installing over the top of the
existing one fix the problem?
