Administrator password

[Duh]

All of a sudden?, I get "cannot do this, cannot do that" message, because I
don't have administrator rights. When I try to sign in as admin, it ask for
password. When I installed XP, I left the admin password blank during setup.
I installed IE7 and a couple of other updates prior to this problem. I
entered no password at setup, and I am the only user of this computer. Any
work arounds? Or reformat?

Have you tried leaving the password blank and hitting enter?

If computer boots : Start>Run>type "control userpasswords2" - set for blank
password.

Yes, I hit enter, with the password field blank. control userpasswords2, I
set it blank, now I cannot return, lost admin group rights.
