Adding line b/t slides when printing? --NOT border or frame

In PowerPoint 2007 I used to be able to print 6 slides per page, with a
single thin black line between the rows or columns. Now, the only options I
see related to this are checkboxes for "Frame Slides" on the first print
dialog, and "Print Page Border" after I click the "Properties" button on that
first print dialog. Both of these options add a black line around the entire
perimeter of each slide, whereas I just want a black line between one slide
and another (like "#"... open sides). Does anyone know how to do this?

I guess that's a possible workaround, but is there a way to just have it that
way by default? either as a template after i draw the lines in handout
master or the way I initially described.
