Problem printing handouts with framed slides

When I print handouts using PowerPoint 2007 on my computer with Windows
Vista, I select the "frame slides" option on PowerPoint and on the printer;
however, the handouts always print without the frame. I am using a 2003 Hp
printer. Could it be that the printer is not recognizing the frame option?
What can I try?

The frame is very tight to your slide, and is a very thin frame, and in most
case you may not see it. What happens when you go to print, and select a
print preview? do you see the frame?
