Add-ins not installing. Outlook 2003, Vista

X

Xander

I installed PFbackup a couple of weeks ago without issue.

Now, I'm trying to install a couple of addins. Neither give me any
errors on the install; all goes well. However, when I re-open Outlook
after the install ... nothing. Not in the Add-in Manager, not under
COMs.

I've tried running the installations as administrator installs. I'm
out of ideas and would welcome any suggestions.

Which addins? Did you look in Help, About, disabled addins and see if they
were disabled?

I'll throw in here that I did a clean install of Vista late last
night, partly because I thought there was a problem with the security
side of Vista (control panel applet refused to open).

I installed Outlook, and PFbackup went in without issue.

Once again, tried installing RemoteCalendars and Gsync
(www.daveswebsite.com). Neither show up on Outlook's start, neither
are listed in the addins (of either type) and nothing is listed under
Disabled Addins. The RemoteCalendars requires the Vstor and Interop
files to be installed beforehand (done without errors). They also
require .NET 2.0 which is pre-installed with Vista (I even tried to
install it and was told by MS' installer that I couldn't).

Each step has been installed with administrator rights.

Which addins? Did you look in Help, About, disabled addins and see if they
were disabled?
