Outlook 2003 pfbackup add-in problem

My notebook was running Office XP with the pfbackup add-in for Outlook
installed. After I upgraded to Office 2003, there was no longer a "Backup"
item on the Outlook file menu. I found the pfbackup add-in for Outlook 2003
on the Office web site and downloaded it. On installation it asked if I
wanted to uninstall the previous version (I answered Yes), but the
installation program has now got itself in a state where it first thinks
that the previous version is still installed but then complains that it
can't uninstall a program that is no longer installed when I ask it to do
so. The add-in no longer shows in Control Panel and searching for either
"pfbackup" or "personal folders backup" in the registry doesn't find
anything either.

I'm administrator on the local machine and also tried the install again
after a reboot with the same problem. Any suggestions on how to get the
add-in installed for Outlook 2003? Are there any files I should look for in
case the uninstall of the previous version didn't properly work.
