Ad installed search

My mom told me this morning she was on the PC last night
and she gots tons of ads and they installed a bunch of
crap etc..

But then we searched for viruses and got about three, and
then uninstalled them.

Now, when I type in a fake address or wrong address, it
takes me to the ad's search engine which I do not want.
How do I uninstall it, remove it, or change it?
