ActiveX in all the wrong places??

I have a small network at home (2 computers) and on one of them I was
infected with the bargain buddy spyware. Using ad-Aware & Spybot I removed
the offending items but the machine still tries to load an activeX component
when I go to google. I'm using XP Home SP2 with popup blocker and prompt to
install activeX components on. On the other machine google does not try to
install activeX. Does google use an activeX control?? I don't think so.
What could be infecting my computer, Ad-Aware, spybot, and spysweeper can't
find anything wrong. What else can I use to check this out. Bear in mind
that most sites do not ask to install an activeX component, just google and
a couple of other random sites.

Thanks,
MSB

Exactly what activex control is trying to download? The name can be quite
revealing.

It sounds like your system has not been properly cleaned up. Please review

I figured out what's causing the problem but I don't know how to fix it,
maybe you can help. In internet explorer on the status bar on the bottom
the little icon that says internet only shows my computer as if all the
websites are stored locally? How do I make it work in the internet zone
again.
