hi

i see this error message several times a week on just about any
machine running windows and internet explorer...

"your current security settings prohibit running activex controls on
this page. as a result, the page may not display correctly."

connection to any on-line antivirus site generates the message. as
well as a connection to the microsoft update site.

changing the security settings per any microsoft article does NOT fix
the problem.

deleting the mentioned activex files from any microsoft file does NOT
fix the problem.

the only solution that we have come up with is to reintall windows.
that is a poor solution.

does any one know if there is a fix for this, and what file is
corrupted that prevents the connection to the sites.

thanx
