I have XP professional and when I try to install Acrobat 6.0 standard in regular or VGA mode I get an error message that windows installer service can't be accessed. I can install this software on another computer using Windows ME. What gives?

Thanks for the reply. When I tried to open the Win installer fix file from my hard drive I received a message that said could not create object named "W script shell". Can you help me here? Thanks.

It could mean that you need to install the Windows Scripting Host. Start
here

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/script56/ht
ml/wsoriWindowsScriptHost.asp

to learn about and download WSH .

If the above link gets broken by word wrap try http://tinyurl.co.uk/gvul
