ACPI problem

I accidentally :P updated my processor driver to standard
pc (because i wanted to use hibernation) and now i can't
update it again to acpi uniprocessor pc.How can i do this
without a new installation or a repair?

Oh and why my hibernation (generally apm support) does
not appear or it appears a few times and then it goes
away?It did that with ACPI Uniprocessor PC and with
Standard PC.

Only by doing a repair install, and when it asks you to 'Hit F6 to
install special drivers' hit F5 instead, which will allow you to choose

Usually because a driver has been detected which has been learned not
reinitialise correctly on return from hibernation or standby
