Hey, my boyfriend is an idiot and erased\deleted (from the add\remove
programs section), something called real tech audio...'or something close to
that'. What do I have to do to re-install the sound\audio software so that I
will have sound on my computer again? I do not have the software on disk for
some reason, I believe those idiots at future shop installed all the
software, and didn't return that disk with all the other software.

Hello,

Most likely you should be using Realtek AC97 audio codec.

You can download the Realtek AC97 codec here (3rd row, click a GO link)
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

If not (or you get an error that no sound hardware found), it would be the
High Definition Audio Codec
