accessing start up programs to disable

Hi all,

brother has win2000 and i need to disable some vicious
malware that seems to be loading at start up, so i need
to access the equivalent of msconig or (services.iforget)
so i can disable some of the progs that are loading at
start up.

msconfig is not there in win2k. However you can get the msconfig.exe from
Windows XP and run it in Windows 2k.

Try StartupCPL, a neat (free) little utility to enable/disable startup
processes. Not sure if adware/malware would actually show up in there, but
it is worth a shot.
