I have a CD catalogue with jpegs and an Access Database. Questions: 1) Can I
use Access Runtime to view this database? 2) Could I edit the database? 3)
Would the database 1st have to be programmed to allow Runtime to be used with
it?
Thanks for any help offered,

1. You may be able to use the runtime to view the database but there
may be license issues involved. If the runtime came with the
application you're trying to view, then yes. If not, I think it's a
license violation.

2. You can't edit the database while it's on CD unless the CD is
RW. You can copy the database to your harddisk, remove the Read Only
attribute in the properties and then edit it.

3. The database isn't aware of which version of Access is running
unless it is specifically programmed to check.
