Access 97 Installed with 2007 Runtime

Hello. We are running Win7 with Access 97, Access 2007 Runtime and Office
2007 (without Access). When opening an mdb file with Access 97, the db opens
fine. However, after closing the database, then opening an accdb file with
access 2007 Runtime, I get the following error " There was a problem sending
the command to the program." Immediately Access 2007 Runtime goes into the
"Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Access Runtime 2007"
Following that, the 2007 DB opens with 2007 Runtime.

How can I run both Programs and prevent the error I am recieving?

I don't use Access97 much anymore but one way would be to use the Sage
Installer product to run all the Access2007 accdb based applications. It
will trick all the registry keys to not freak out when switching between
different versions of Access.

Of course that's pricey solution, so not sure if I helped much?

See more details about my experience with the sage products at:

PS: If you want to try a test you could download and install my product to
see if
you get any problems. It's based on Access2007 and uses the runtime.

Just delete the c:\rptsoftware folder to uninstall or use the standard
uninstall methods.
