A bit of help please

Running WinXP with SP2.

I had deleted the Sonic software, (thru Control Panel) and now at each
re-start, a 'Windows Installer Screen" pops up and eventually changes to:
'Sonic Activation Module' and asks me to 'Activate MSI'.

When I Click on the 'Cancel button 4 more pop-ups of the 'Activate MS'
button will appear it will go away on the 5th and last 'CANCEL' and does
not re-appear on 'Re-starts', only when the computer is freshly booted the
next day.

Can or will some kind person please advise me on how to get rid of this
annoying problem?
Many thanks

Looks like something was left behind in the Startup folder. Start > Run >
msconfig > startup tab and see if the items you mentioned are there - delete
them.

You still have some traces which I think the update manager checking for
updates?.
Look here:
C:\Program Files\Sonic delete the folder.
Also run disk clean up and search for files/folder by sonic on your System
and remove them.
Activate.MSI" message when launching MyDVD or Digital Media Studio

Hi,

Took a look at the web site but a bit over my head I think. <sigh>

You just need to click on the Download button. The programme is quite
easy to use. The only part you need to take care with is to make 100%
certain you investigate fully a StartUp item before removing it. You can
uncheck an item and not go the whole way, which is deleting an entry.
That way you can observe it's effect and easily restore if it does not
achieve the desired result.

Autoruns is not a tool to be used on a regular basis. It's gor
occasional use.

Hope this helps.

Thanks to you too, for taking the time to send your feedback, but it will be
much appreciated if you send the complete feedback for the benefit of other
having the problem like. About which option worked for you, to make easy for
users to find the direct solution.
