819696 Direct X Security Update Won't Take

I have installed this update about 5 times from the
Windows Update option in my XP Home system. Every time I
do a Windows Update it is still an update option. Each
time I install it. Why is the installation not taking? I
have Direct X 8.1 .

Prevent Windows Update from prompting you to install a Hotfix
you know is already installed:
