5 th attempt, could really use some download help

I need this for my business, not to play games!

I can't download msn chat 45 software with my new Win XP
Pro comp. The smiley face never shows up.
I have hotmail extra storage, so I know I'm allowed in.

Downloaded java sun, MS virtual machine and the updates,
tried several different configurations in 'internet
options' including enabling all java and MS virtual
machine options, with reboots in between. Checked my java
proxy settings. Deleted cookies and temp files. Java
works in the test pages I visited, and other chat apps.

Relaxed my privacy and security settings. No problem with
any other downloads. No help from Microsoft. Not on a
network yet.

When the popup dialog box appears, it says the chat
software is not signed, shouldn't it be? I even went to
the page listed in the popup box and downloaded it
directly, it seems to have loaded, but I still can't open
any msn chatroom window.

What options should be enabled? Or what settings?

What is the default destination file for downloading this
program? (maybe if I move it to where it would have put
it, it won't try to download again?)

I need this for business contacts in groups, not just
playing games.
I need to chat on msn to keep in touch with business
contacts in my groups, it's a big part of my marketing
plan. I also missed a chat which I usually facilitate,
and had to cancel two more scheduled chat sessions.
Any help would be welcome.

Chat is not secure. If you want to do business you'd be
better off using Netmeeting or something similar.

There are Chat programs on the XP CD.

Since your business plan does not involve using a proper and
private web host, VPN or other secure communication, may I
suggest that you should seek proper IT help and a bankruptcy
attorney.

Vpn is scheduled to go live January 15th. Until then,
most of my time will be building more contacts and
stronger relationships in groups. I am marketing my
services as a psychiatric testing and training
contractor. I travel at least one week a month to remote
jobs, and have not experienced any security risks
marketing via professional organization msn groups (yet!)

tell me to check out the cd.

I may not have any choice
where are the psychiatrists and the psychologists when we
need them? obviously not finding bugs in their computers,
not practicing on the news boards, must be wednesday,
golf!?!
