4 to 5 minutes till printer starts printing

I have a photosmatr 1100 printer. It worked fine till recently. Now,
when I try to print, it takes approx. 4 to 5 minutes to start printing.
Can anyone help?

I downloaded the latest drivers from HP. I still have the same problem

Networked printers are always slower to respond, especially if large files
are being buffered into printer memory and the printer is set to best
printing

Thanks Mike. I am using a home computer & it always started printing
imediatly but now, for some unknown reason, it takes forever
