I hit cancel, but it still installed a 3rd party toolbar
in my IE browser window. I tried View, Toolbars and
clicked it, but it does not get removed. How do I get rid
of it?

toolbar info:
NN_WebBand
"Mirar"

Click Tools/Internet Options/Advanced. Then uncheck
the "Enable Third Party Browsers" box.

allison,
Be advised that method *only* disables *all* BHOs, it does NOT
remove the parasite that now exists on your machine.

Allison,

It's just a workaround. By disabling 3rd party browser extensions, you are
telling IE not to load the malware. But, the malware is still present in the
hard disk. You need to remove them using Spybot S&D or Ad-Aware.
