2000 upgrade issue

I upgraded a dell work station from windows nt 4.0 to win
2000. After completing the upgrade I then tried to login
to the network. I enter name and password and then the
screen freezes, the cursor is on the screen and it wont
move. I logged in in safe mode and checked the device
manager. The ethernet card was not recognized. I installed
the correct driver while in safe mode and rebooted. Still
having the same issue...It freezes after entering name and
password.

What service Pack are you using. sometimes that is an
issue.

Unfortunately, not knowing your network setup, that is
about all I can say.
