2000 and XP in same workgroup

I have a workgroup setup with a win2k server and 3 win2k
PCs. I upgraded two of the PCs to XP (from scratch, not
in-place upgrades.) I gave these 2 XP machines the same
network settings they had when they were 2000, including
the same IP address settings.

Now, the 2000 machines can browse to and ping each other
but cannot browse to or ping the XP machines. The XP
machines cannot browse to each other or the 2000. The XP
machines can ping the 2000 machines but not each other.

Any ideas?

Turn off the XP built-in firewall.
