I have accidently gotten 2 copies of XP running on my PC.
So when I boot I have to choose which one.
How can I get rid of one of them.

Btw, the one I want is on drive C, the other on D.

thanks!

Learn how to edit the boot.ini file.

Editing the boot.ini will only remove the option to boot to XP on D drive. It
will not delete the "XP installation" on D drive.
So edit boot.ini file "and" reformat D drive.
IF you have any files you want, copy to C drive FIRST.

Wow - thanks, Plato, that really worked!

I appreciate your knowledge and willingness to share it.

Thanks, Dixonian, while my biggest concern was the hassle on boot, I was
wondering about the space occupied on drive D.

I am kinda lazy, and I'm not sure there is enough room on C for my needed
files on D.

Would something awful happen if I just deleted the Windows folder on D and
did not reformat?

thanks again
