16bit software instalation in XP

Trying to migrate some old but current (16bit)software to
my 1 1/2yr old XP machine.Qbooks 99 access 7

The install failed with a message "Installable virtual
device driver failed DLL inialization".

What do I do to fix this??

You can try 1) running the old software in Compatibility Mode (look up
details in XP's Help & Support); 2) getting new versions of the
software that will work out of the box with XP; 3) look on the mftrs.'
websites for patches/workarounds or look in Google using a search term
something like "QuickBooks 99 + Windows XP"; 4) keep a separate
computer around running the older operating system (or dual boot) for
these programs.

Contact Intuit and ask them about using their program in XP.
