has anyone noticed a ~ file that drops on the desktop or the root directory
of any of the hard drives? I keep deleting this file and it keeps coming
back.

Hi, Leon.

Let me guess: It appears after each time you edit your Address Book!

This is a bug in a recent hotfix. I don't recall the details, but when the
WAB is being edited, it is first copied to a new file named "~", which is
supposed to be deleted as soon as the updated file is verified - but often
the deletion is overlooked.

Just delete the "~" file if you like. It will keep coming back until you
get the later Update which fixes the problem.
