I like the feature where before you log in, it shows how many new emails you
have under your username. But I have a problem. My friend checked her email
over here yesterday before our prom, and now everytime I look it says "11
unread emails" and when I click on it, I see her email address. Is there
some way to clear that out without her having to come back over here and
check her email? i read one thread on disabling the feature. i don't want
to do that. I just want to clear her stuff out of there.

This sounds like an ideal question for an Outlook newsgroup.
Remember to state exactly what mail client you use (Outlook?
Outlook Express) and which version.

Install TweakUI:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

TweakUI > Repair > Repair unread mail count > Repair now.
