Why Vista is great - and people need to stop looking for things...

Wow, for once, a perfect example.

That's exactly what I was talking about. Although I use WLMd.

DEATH TO THE DBX!!!!!!!!

Say hello to TXT!

Of course. Say something foolish, you get a foolish response! duh!
Funny, you already deleted the part of my last post that proved you
keep shooting blanks.
Of course I did. Because it was pointless! It wasn't about what WINDOWS
CAN DO! It's about the user being productive.

Why would I talk about about what windows can handle when I'm talking about
the user?

Damn your dense!
You can't be over 14 years old. Isn't your mommy calling you again?

Oh, I'm sorry, did I slam you too hard with that one? I noticed you didn't
answer the PRODUCTIVITY QUESTION.

Typical of you adam.

Now you're talking about my mother? You and alias have no couth.

Yea, it was a made up company, you could have included any details you
wanted, and you had a chance.

What this shows is that you don't have a clue and are just a troll.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

Now it was a made up company and I could have added anything I wanted?
That's rich!

Ok, the company has over 200 million patient records. Spread out amongst
DBs, TXT records, TIFF scans...feel free to make up your own stuff as well.

A simple search on this data can take up to 20 minutes. Not to mention what
happens when you don't find it and have to keep searching!!! Now with Vista
everyone in the organization can search for anything they want within
seconds.

Now instead of having a single clerk searching records, they can FIRE THAT
PERSON, thus saving payroll and everyone can do their own searching.

Wow, making up a company to ROI is easy!!!!!!!

Let's not forget that this is a MEDICAL company. SSSSSSHHHHHHH. Records
are private! They used to have staff that would secure old equipment and
make sure they where wiped clean before they dumped them. They can now FIRE
THAT PERSON, thus saving payroll as they no longer need to worry about such
things with BitLocker.

Now if you would like to give me a real company then we can do this for
real. Although that could take weeks on a NG. I've spent days at a company
searching for ways to improve their business processes.

It's no easy "quick" task as you make it out to be. If you think it is then
once again....more reasons you are clueless!

It doesn't set the cursor at the bottom of the message by default for
newsgroups?
DEATH TO THE DBX!!!!!!!!

Say hello to TXT!

That said, I have used OE since Win 95 and never, ever, had a problem
with it except when I added newsgroups to it (and then it was just
slower). But I take good care of my OE. I love Majik's Freebie back up
program, even though he doesn't offer it any more and I also like the
way OE does sigs so I can have prewritten form emails handy.

What it doesn't do well is filter spam and doesn't like spam filtering
add ons. So, transitioning to T-Bird it is cause I doubt MS will provide
Vista Windows Mail for XP like they did IE7 and WMP11 even if your XP
*is* genuine.

As I run a business. Windows Live Mail Desktop comes with advertising
tagged at the bottom of the message. No can do.

It was always a "Sample" company - but you're so tied to your mantra that
you can't read.

Seems you don't understand that nothing you've presented is missing from
their network currently and it's all there is XP and SBS 2003 Premium...

Keep showing that you don't really know what you're talking about - you're
really starting to shine now.

J

Justin

You can not do what I said with XP. You're a damn fool if you think you
can.

The only thing I can think of is MAYBE a third party tool instead of
Bitlocker. That's it! XP can not instant search that many files.

You're now on my filter. Have fun with yourself!

Yea, thanks - that's what most trolls do when they get exposed for the
worthless trolling fools they actually are.

J

Justin

No , I read a book by starting AT THE TOP just like everyone else! Then I
read downwards.

What dumbass reads a book by first going to the END? Then up again, then
down again then up then down then up....until they finally find the break
between what's old and what new.

Top and inline posting make the most sense. Just ask the 100 million plus
people that do both with emails on a daily basis.

To top post in a NG is to implement progress. Get on board!

J

Justin

Very interesting. While I like the results I question the fact they
performed MRI's on people while they where actively performing an
action....wtf?

The conclusion hints towards inline posting.

As I said in my previous post:

To top post in a NG is to implement progress. Get on board!

Here's some inline for you:

Well THAT is what you do when you top-post you dork. The answer to the
question is written ABOVE the question. What a dumbass.

No it's not you moron. I have to SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN (go to the end of
the book). I don't know what part of that your feeble mind can understand
but it's annoying as hell. To top post means you start at the TOP. The TOP
of the book. Bottom post means you start at the BOTTOM or BOTTOM/END of the
book.

Top = Top
Bottom = Bottom

Top Posting = Start at beginning of book (the archive at the back of the
book is for reference for those not involved in the conversation, otherwise
they had the ENTIRE THREAD to read through first).

Bottom Posting = Start at end of book

Get it yet?

The problem with what you're trying to do here is to ASSUME there can only
be one conversation in a NG. You are trying to create a SINGLE thread in
which it retains ALL of the conversation in EVERY post. However you quickly
forget that a thread can branch off in many different directions. There is
NO point in keep an archive of the entire convo in EVERY SINGLE POST.
That's ridiculous at best. Newcomers to a conversation can read the
existing posts.

I also like when someone bitches about how..."well, what if the older posts
are deleted already." That's stupid! Most conversations only last a couple
days. Odds are the ENTIRE thread will be deleted. So you have a day or two
of strangling threads. The reality is, because of the many branches, even
if everyone did bottom post you would still have the same problem.
Most people like to read the question (or whatever you are replying to and
THEN read the answer or reply to it underneath, not the other way round.

Oh really?

You fail.

Anybody that uses Outlook Express to access newsgroups isn't being
very smart or realistic considering how many vastly superior feature
rich alternatives there are, including several good free ones.

OE does what I want, why should I look for something that does
more? Most users aren't into stuff like combining binary post parts.

Most people using OE tend to treat Usenet as email, so they post like they
are sending an email to an individual instead of the world.

to complain about!

Wow, do you people love to complain about great products. Go ahead, stop
your crying if you don't like Vista. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. Go use
a "wonderful" Mac, or use Linux and see where you get.

I'm sick of ignorant people bashing a great product. WHY? Because you've 1)
probably never used it, and have heard some kid who probably tried to pirate
a copy complain about something 2) think that YOU should obtain main years of
hard work in the form of software - FREE (go use Linux, you'll see the
quality of programming and level of hardware and software support for that
OS... it has NO place on a Home Desktop system -- web server? Sure) 3) You
just like looking for things to complain about and are afraid of change.

Get over yourselves! Vista by FAR is the best OS to date, bar none. There
are no hugely glaring issues, and hopefully IT WILL force people with dated
hardwar eto upgrade... its good for the industry and consumer as a whole
incase some of you cannot see the larger picture here instead of your "right
here, right now" crying nonsense.

Get with the program. Either enjoy the best OS created to date, or get lost
and use whatever else you want. Go cry somewhere else... for the rest of the
people also who might actually ENJOY Vista, don't ruin it for them with your
BS and 'cause Microsoft to lose out on a sale because you're talking from
your nether regions.

Get real... Vista is awesome.

Wow yourself! Just bought New Computer with Vista and I'm completely
underwhelmed! I'd rather go back to 3.1 than work with this.

I think that Vista is indeed a great product, all it takes is for people
to be willing to learn a new OS. Sure there will be teathing problems
but that is normal in any product, I for one have not had any problems
what so ever with Vista, all i did was just install the correct drivers
& all my programs work fine!
