Who wants to DL the PL2005 ISO

Thanks, I downloaded it (also sent an email to you). However, the md5
signature in the .iso file does not match the contents of the iso.
Also, the md5 file you give in the email does not match the one in the
..iso, and you cannot download the md5 from the pricelessware homepage,
because it gives you a 404 not found error. What gives? What is the
correct md5 and has someone been tampering with the .iso contents?

Bob,
The HTTP server also serves the mirror for my own programs and is quite
busy most of the time. The best way is to use the FTP option specified in
the e-mail (you will need an FTP client for this. If you do not have one, I
have the LFV of FTPx in the Freeware Library -
http://freeware.it-mate.co.uk/?Cat=Internet#134).

I've sent an e-mail with the URL to the original MD5 file

Thanks Steven. I got it. It was the same md5 as was in the iso fil.
When I checked it, I got the following:

Ok, I can see how some of the paths are incorrect - whoever generated
the md5 had the '_' as a space in their path names, whereas the CD
doesn't use the '_' (just spaces). However, other files are not there
at all, and those .php ones just don't match. 22 bad and 18 missing.
Stuffed if I know :-( Maybe the copy is corrupted on Ashlyn's server?

I'm not sure whats going on there to be honest as the MD5 file was generated
and verified by myself prior to making it public (I generated one for the
ISO first (hence the underscores in the path), then burnt the CD and
re-generated the MD5 file from the CD itself).

Looking at your report, there's around 70MB or so missing (the original ISO
is 573MB)

Very odd - according to my file manager, the downloaded .iso is 573MB.
But yes, the report does say 503MB.

I also downloaded the .iso again from a different server (see Maxim's
message "download server for PL2005". This time I got:
Total:219 OK:190 Bad:18 Missing:9
The operation completed successfully. 208 files, 399MB, 42s

Two separate .iso's from two separate servers, and both are incorrect.
I think whoever released this .iso to the servers originally has some
explaining to do on why their quality control was so poor.

The original ("master") ISO was distributed from my own server (on this PC).

If possible, can you download the ISO from the server mentioned in my e-mail
to you and let me know if the results are the same?.

OK guys looks like my upload was bad.....

Sorry folks... Looks like affected are Wedgie, Bob, and Maxim plus anyone
downloading from Maxim.

I'll kill the URL Wedgie used, this was the same copy that Maxim downloaded.

The other URLS look good, thank goodness and no one else reported problems
with those ISO.

Try the link I posted in another post, re: eMule. I am not sure if you have
to have eMule for this link, or if it is like an http address and lets you
take it off of my computer directly. I do know that it works, though,
because I checked the stats a moment ago, and some people are downloading
it.

To use ED2K links, you need a P2P app thats capable of handling them (e.g.
eMule). Unfortunately they do not work in the same manner as HTTP, FTP,
Gopher, etc etc links.

Thank you for the information. I have never downloaded nor uploaded via the
link thing until today, so I am glad that I at least got the how to partly
correct. As I said, someone volunteered to test it for me, and it does
work.

That's what I found after I burnt a copy of the CD. Autostart
index.html page didn't work, readme.txt was gibberish...the program
folders were all there and probably the program are OK but ya never
know....
