Will MS start charging for this software, will it become
embedded in new OS or???

Rudy;
Microsoft has not stated whether there will be a cost or what it would be.
As for embedded or not? Only Microsoft knows but I doubt it.

after the final version releases there definately going
to ask for money for sure bout that. they won't give this
tools for free. they bought this giant company for a
reason to fight antispyware and to compete with other
antispyware product that just starting. also that
antispyware a must have security tools for a full pc
protections

Hi John,
There's been no announcement either way. One guess is at least as good as
the next at this time.

Is not a firewall _also_ essential for computer
security? And is it not included in WinXP (at lease Pro,
I'm not sure what lives in Home)? My current theory is
that they will wrap it into that "Security Center" where
all the Firewall stuff lives... Have it be free, let the
other guys worry about how to make money, since they're
technically just making money off the holes that MS
hasn't patched anyway... Next step is AntiVirus... That
I'm not sure how they'll handle, but I'd be willing to
bet that it'll be cheaper than the other guys, and
(because they wrote the OS) it'll be integrated into the
OS more better, too.

A cynical person might say: "Gee, what a racket. Create an insecure
product, then charge customers additional fees for tools to make it
secure?"

I suspect that MS may fear this perception from the public, and just
include it in the security center - like the SP2 firewall. Who knows.

If Windows came, out of the box, with antivirus/spyware and firewall,
it would certainly do much to improve their reputation?

The firewall is not a part of the Security Center any more than anti virus.
The Security Center monitors the firewall.
The firewall was part of Windows XP before the Security Center existed.
