So they give you a wireless modem router for free in the package? Cool :)

Can they tell if you use a different one?

Also, is it possible to connect two modems to a single ADSL line?

yep sky give you a DG834GT, i doubt they can tell if you've played with it but i played with my sisters one and changed the firmware

, thats been like it for a couple of months and no problems

two modems to the same line ? probably but you could only use one at a time i suspect

Yes, but its got to go back to SKY when you leave them. Its never yours. ;)

I haven't had the need to change their firmware as they are just your 'standard' home users if you know what i mean. But personally i'd have to use my own router! :)

I doubt you could use two at the same time tbh.

The only reason i ask is because we have a big 7 bedroom house, and i was wondering how we could get good signal over the house....

get a wireless repeater, just plug it into a socket and voila


Edit: after having a quick read i wouldn't reccomend it, it uses your houses internal wiring to connect over which myself and my dad (he's an electrician) don't like the sound of

this on the other hand is what i was looking for in the first place
