Very slow page load.....fixed by clicking on another browser window refresh

I have had this strange problem with slow page loads... it happens
with 30% of sites

I open a website, usually a bulletin board type message site, and it
takes forever to load a page and every click, or advance to next page
is torture.

However, if I open a second brower window,lets say with
www.google.com, then the first brower window loads up immediately.

So i open two windows, and I click on a message in window 1, then go
to window 2 refresh it, and it loads the content on window 1 in < 1
sec. This is getting very tedious, and I wish it was the way it should
be.

The computer this is happening on is a Pentium centrino dell laptop
on linksys wireless network. This problem does no happen with my 3
other wireless computers or my main hardwired computer.

Any ideas?

Maybe I am the only one with this problem

Currently trying another browser (Firefox)
will update to see if significant changes
