Update Request Fails to Find Internet Connection

When I prompt the program for updates, it sends back a
warning that it can't find an internet connection. Thus,
no updates are found. Help?

Only thing I can think of trying is the Network issues fix, not guranteed to
solve the problem but worth a try:
