AutoUpdater could not connect to the Internet

Eventhough my internet connection is fine and MS Outlook,
Outlook Express and the Internet Explorer work perfectly,
I get the following message when I try to update MS
AntiSpyware.

AutoUpdater Status
Updating spyware definitions and software.

X Warning, could not connect to the Internet!

Updates have failed. AutoUpdater could not detect an
Internet Connection.

I have seen this happening if there is a firewall running
on the computer, try disabling it just to do the updates,
the enable it again

I too keep getting the same message but my definitions
have been updated today it says, May 31st 18:06
Iam confused now has it updated or what
