Trying to uninstall McAfee virus scan-Error 1721

I keep trying to uninstall McAfee Virus scan home
edition. Each time I try to uninstall it I recieve an
error 1721 message. It says: There is a problem with
windows installer package. A program required for this
install to complete could not be run. Contact your
support personnel or package vendor.
I don't know what to do.

of AntiVirus is different, you should be able to find it

Make sure the entire link appears in your address.

It explains how to make use of manual uninstall. A word
of caution here; it involves editing your registry. The
steps are clear, but I recommend exporting your registry
immediately upon running regedit.exe and prior to making
any modifications. If you mess up, double-clicking on
the resulting .reg file will restore it.
