Server service will not start

My server service will not start. Server properties Log On has no entry
listed for: "you can enable or disable this service for the hardware profile
listed below." I have been everywhere I can think of on this desktop, and
cannot start the server service, and as a result cannot start computer
browser as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone tell me how to add a hardware profile to a service? My server
service is not operating and does not have a hardwqre profile enabled. There
is no profile listed under the log on tab for the server service. Any ideas
would be much appreciated. Thanks

Add "File & Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" to the components of
your ethernet connection.

Thanks, I had done that with no luck, but, that is still the answer. I
finally removed the service, re-booted and added the service back. That did
it. Thanks for the help.

I just suffered the exact same problem (not sure why it suddenly went wrong,
but oh well), and my solution was exactly as for "stevew" - remove "File &
Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" and then re-install it. Magic -
