Okay Mr. Telstar. Businesses don't consume, so they're not "consumers".
Why not Google search the definition of consumer. Here's one for your
brilliant mind:
"A person or organization that purchases or uses a product or service."

Debate over.

Listen little man, if you would like to discuss this in person, maybe we
could meet?

I love it when a punk talks big over a keyboard. PLONK!

I knew you couldn't do it. So I guess you are a fool. You talk a lot of
talk but it never means anything real. You make claims that do not exist
and you can't backup your own mouth. Unless you would like to try again?

I'll tell you what! I'll take "fool" back once you post PROOF (quotes from
me) where I claim I will upgrade EVERY MACHINE in my business and where I
claim Vista as the "end all".

If you can't do that then you are the fool I claim you are.

There it is again, MORE, MORE what? You say it gives you more but don't

a single thing. I know it runs slower* so maybe more time to get coffee or
go to the bathroom?

*slower than XP on equivalent hardware

I know same is true of every previous windows but the difference from
98-XP
and XP-Vista are not even comparable.

My 5 machines were upgraded from XP. So one the same hardware Vista is
running faster. AS for more, search alone has been a major improvement. If
you want more then search this NG. It's all over the place. I already
mentioned what to search for. I'm not typing up a huge list YET AGAIN.
Look for it.

So much more problems?
Aside from drivers? I don't have any.

So much more money down the drain?
It costs the same as XP. So how is it MORE money down the drain?
So much less freedom to use
the OS the way I want?

You'll have to explain what freedoms were taken from you.

Windows XP "Where do you want to go today?"
Windows Vista "Where will we let you go today?"

That is hilarious!!!! I kid you not, someone said the EXACT SAME thing when
XP was released. I would swear it was verbatim!

Windows 98 "Where do you want to go today?"
Windows XP "Where will we let you go today?"

And third parties can only support Vista properly if given all the
information
they need from MS in a timely manner.

Why is it no one talks about that?

Because no one had asked about it yet. The reason for that is mostly
because the average person understand MS has in fact given third parties
MUCH MORE TIME then ever before. Which is probably a good reason why we
have such a high level of drivers we have now. Seeing as how Windows has
undergone major changes, that's a pretty good response. Even though we have
a ways to go.

There is a minority of poorly written XP programs that
will not work in Vista. When programmers use undocumented
shortcuts and sloppy coding techniques, should Microsoft be
blamed if it doesn't keep the same anomalies in Vista?

Gary VanderMolen

According to people like terry and billy, yes. MS should have never
released an OS that could break any past programs.

Maybe they should have just release an OS that didn't actually fix anything
and instead, like you said, keep all the past garbage so terry and billy can
keep using Photoshop 5? Oh wait, they CAN use photoshop 5 with VPC. Oops.

My operating system fits on one CD along with many useful programs that
are included free in the installation. My operating system allows me to
run my licensed copy of Windows XP as a virtual machine in its own little
window. I use Windows XP to run a couple of windows programs that I like
and when I finish I can shut it off. When I run Windows XP, it does not
slow my system down at all. It is just another window...lol. I am
learning how to use Cadega, so I can run other windows programs directly
from my operating system. Maybe someday I will get Vista, but it will
never run on its own. It too will run in its own little window, where it
can not hurt my system with its virus and spyware vulnerabilities. I can
run anything I want. I am the master of my own machine. Windows xp and
vista are just a couple of toys that I might want to play with. That is
all that they are...Microsoft toys.

The exact impression many have of you Justin. Every newsgroup has one

Nope, just you. Now maybe terry since I would expect him just parrot back
the same things I've told him.

Either way I have NEVER made claims of someone saying something very
specific and been asked to support those claims. Not even you.

Try again adam!

My 5 machines were upgraded from XP.

Your 5 machines? I get the impression you don't have pot to piss in.

If you are making reference to some company owned boxes who's total
numbers goes up and down from 5 to 300 depending on which post your
making then they aren't "yours", and you haven't given any indication
if you work at all your responsibilites extend beyond feeding the
printers paper and making sure copy machines have toner.

You live a Walter Mity life, that's my impression of you.

You're a faker that likes to hang out in newsgroups trying to fake you
know something in order to give your fragile ego a boost. You get mad
at me because I pegged you for what you are after just reading a
couple of your moronic posts which are always full of counterdictions.
Now try to deny it kid. That ought to be worth a hoot and a half.

your opinion?

ROTFLAMO!

What peons like Justin fail to understand it is a two way street.
Sure, some companies are lazy about getting drivers ready in time.
There we have the flip side like Roxio where Microsoft releases some
half-ass "update" that fixes other application but breaks a applet
that was tested and worked fine with Vista that Roxio authored. Of
course I'm referring to the drag to disc feature.

Anyone would have to consult with my FOR my opinion. Care to take another
shot at that one?
