No transport Provider

I run XP Home and Office 2000. Recently I have not been
able to send e-mail (Verizon is my ISP. I recieve
everything fine.

When I create a new e-mail and hit send the e-mail comes
back quickly with the message:

"No transport provider was available for delivery to
recipient"

Suggestions?

Thanks

Verify the outgoing server settings, including authentication.

According to Verizon everything is set correctly

So, without giving away any usernames and passwords, what are ALL the
settings on both your inbound and outbound servers?

I'm having the same problem at my office, but it seems
more complicated. The problem started yesterday and it
only affects PCs running Outlook 2000/98 on Windows 95/98
platforms. There are no problems with Outlook 2000 on
PCs running on XP pro. We run an Exchange 4.0 server for
internal email and an outside ISP for internet email.
Also, the problem only occurs when mail is set to be
delivered to a user's Exchange mailbox. If mail is set
to be delivered to a Personal Folder, Internet mail can
be sent fine. I'd like to believe that all settings are
correct since they have been running like this for 2+
years.

Thanks,
Mike
