No transport provider...?

Kenneth

Howdy,

I am running OL2000 under Win 2000 Pro.

When I attempt to send an email to a particular recipient ('happens to
have an AOL address) I instantly get the message:

"No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient."

Messages to other recipients seem to go out just fine.

Why might this error occur only with that one address, and, is there
anything that I might do about it?

Sincere thanks,

K

Hi Kenneth
maybe this could help you
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:

Hi Andreas,

I thank you for the suggestion though I have reviewed that article
many times.

My problem seems not to fit anything that the article describes most
particularly because I can send to every address except to
(e-mail address removed). Nothing in the article seems to refer to that sort of
intermittent problem.

Do you have further suggestions?

Sincere thanks once again,

A

Hi Kenneth,

there is a standard called RFC. If you write your signature like
www.johndoe.de
the mails cant receive, coz AOL only accept Signatures who are in the
standard of RFC.

Please be sure, that in your signature the URL is like this
http://www.johndoe.de

Hi again,

My error. My sig includes our URL in the format
http://www.ourdomain.com.

Thanks again,

Hi again Andreas,

I tried typing the outgoing address in rather than copying it from its
source. With that, it was sent properly.

My current suspicion is that there was a non-displaying character in
the address somewhere that was causing trouble.

Sincere thanks,
