As I implied to Shenan: they aren't counting? are they nuts?

No they are just being reasonable. It is the pirates out there who are
abusing this reasonableness of MS!!. I have used MS products since 1985
and I expect to use it for few more years until my eyes gets tired!!!

Good luck and keep us posted.

no not reasonable, I am one who considers MS software to be a ripoff,
but counting activations is a no-brainer

and the pirates aren't really using this, 5 minutes I could download a
cracked XP Pro Sp2 easy (so why try to F___ with a legit license here?)

I may have sounded fishy to you but I deal with at least 50 systems,
most home users, their software, period, I maintain them, update them +
antivirus + antiadware - aaaarrrggghhh them (for which I blame MS for
persistent security holes). In this case its a Certified MS Project
Partner, common sense would tell you I have no business or right
discussing his business with you, a stranger.

I started on Control Data supercomputers at Concordia Unvercity, they
used VAXs just to feed them info from the terminals,we even had card
punch machines, when you worked at night on them (sometimes 4 users on 4
CDs the response time was mindblowing, even at today's standards

Actually, I WAS NOT told, he referred to retail which I know about,
been there, done that.
And there YOU go, how do I REMOVE it (your words)? sounds like what I
was asking, Yes/No?

The real problem: not my employer directly, and they are MS Project
trainers, and there are no IT specialist at all, and I am working
separately for one of them, and they don't clearly understand what I
am asking, and they asked me to find out, and I always try here first,
and sometimes I get clear answers fast, and sometimes everybody argues
the question like now. Make sense? Am I clear enough? BTW its not only
XP Pro I am worried about, the full installation includes Server,
Office Project and Project server.

Then you have an illegal license. VL are only valid on computers owned by
the owner of the license. You will need to buy a new license of XP, and
any other VL software currently on your computer.

Marko,

While they may well read in threaded views - this one has many branches and
many people in the world do not get all the branches at the same time OR
their local server may have timeout periods short enough that when they
hopped on the thread - the first three posts were gone.. and if the original
conversation wasn't completely in the responses - they miss half or more of
the fun. *grin*

Should - okay.
Many don't know it exists. They barely know their local newsgroups exist.

Ever watch Benny Hill, the way he taps the guy on the head, well I need it.

I was told last year when I first installed it: Its not a Volume
License, these are are certified MS Project developer/trainers and they
bought one of those "Action Pack Subscriptions"

Great deal if you can get it
